I use the helmet for tree work assistance, which means ladders, ropes and branches. The chin strap keeps it firmly in place when something knocks it, and the vents help in humid summer weather. I have had it for four months and the shell shows no fading.

We needed a helmet that would take a visor and earmuffs for a day of strimming and brush cutting on a council contract. This one worked well with both. The slots gave a firm click, nothing rattled loose, and I did not get the usual hot spot at the forehead after five hours.

The sweatband soaks up a lot. On hot days it kept the sweat out of my eyes.

Bought for a crew of eight, and mostly it has been a success. Delivery was fast, the helmets are light, and everybody found a fit. The only complaint is that the sweatbands soak through in the peak of summer, so I ordered spares. Would still recommend for the price.

Third hard hat I have bought online and the first that did not need modification. Comfortable fit out of the box, wheel works, the peak is a good length. One dropped hammer bounced off it last week and I barely felt it. Fair price too.

The sweatband is thick and washes out well. Dried overnight and went straight back on.
