Glass is unforgiving. A single slip while carrying, cutting or fitting a pane can mean a serious injury, and most of those injuries happen to hands and forearms. That is why cut protection for glaziers is one of the areas where we put the most work into our product range.
Starting from the job, not the catalogue
Glass installers do not need the same glove as a warehouse picker. They need grip on smooth, sometimes wet surfaces, enough feel to place fixings and seals, and a cut level that matches real edges. We start every glove and sleeve project by listing the tasks: unloading, carrying, cutting, glazing, sealing and cleaning up.
What we look at
- Cut level: matched to the task, with higher EN 388 cut levels for handling raw edges and lighter levels where dexterity matters more.
- Grip: coatings chosen for dry, damp and oily glass surfaces.
- Forearm cover: sleeves and longer cuffs, because cuts often happen above the wrist.
- Comfort: breathable liners, seamless knitting and true sizing so gloves are worn all day instead of left in the van.
Why comfort is a safety feature
The best protective glove is the one a worker keeps on. If a glove is stiff, hot or badly sized, it comes off, and the protection is gone. Improving fit and breathability is therefore as important to us as the cut rating on the label.
What is next
We keep refining our range of cut-resistant gloves, arm sleeves and aprons with feedback from installers. If you handle glass every day and have ideas about what your gear should do better, we want to hear from you through our contact page.
