Falls from height remain one of the most serious risks in construction and glazing. Fall protection only works when the whole system is right: the harness, the connecting device, the anchor point and the training. Contractors need equipment that is simple to use correctly, because a system that is fiddly is a system that gets used wrongly.
Making fall protection easier to get right
- Clear sizing and adjustment: harnesses that fit a range of body types and stay in position while working.
- Padding where it matters: shoulder and leg straps that reduce pressure during long shifts.
- Simple connections: buckles and attachment points that are quick to close and easy to check.
- Clear labelling: serial numbers, dates and standards visible for inspection.
Kits, not just parts
Many contractors prefer to buy matched sets of harness and lanyard or self-retracting lifeline, so every part is designed to work together. We are building our fall protection range around that idea of compatible components with straightforward instructions.
Inspect every time
Whatever equipment you use, inspect it before each use and have it examined by a competent person at regular intervals. Retire any harness that has arrested a fall. For a practical checklist, read our guide to harness inspection.
