Protective equipment has one job: to work when it is needed. For that reason, quality control is a central part of how we run ClearEdge Safety. From materials to finished product, every step is designed to give customers confidence that their gear will do what the label says.
Certification and standards
Personal protective equipment sold in the EU must comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/425 and carry the CE mark, along with the relevant harmonised standards, for example EN 388 for gloves, EN 166 for eye protection, EN 397 for helmets and EN ISO 20345 for safety footwear.
What good quality control looks like
- Material checks: incoming fabrics, coatings and components are inspected before production.
- In-process inspection: stitching, seams and fastenings are checked as products are made.
- Final inspection: finished items are examined for defects, correct markings and instructions.
- Traceability: batch information allows us to follow up quickly if a problem is ever reported.
Clear information for users
Every product should come with clear markings and instructions: what it protects against, how to fit it, how to care for it and when to replace it. Better information is one of the simplest ways to improve safety on site.
