Description
The ARBURG ALLROUNDER 720 E GOLDEN ELECTRIC is an all-electric injection moulding machine with a 2,800 kN (about 280 t) toggle-type clamping unit and 720 x 720 mm tie-bar spacing. It suits large, thin-walled and high-volume parts such as safety helmet shells and visors. Direct servo-electric drives and a ball screw injection axis keep energy use low, and the machine is only about 1.85 m wide for its class. Mould installation heights of up to 800 mm are possible, with EUROMAP 800 and 1300 injection units available.

Service technician arrived on the scheduled day and completed the yearly check in one shift. He also showed my team a few tricks for extending heater life.

Nice performance overall. The operator manual is heavy and not very friendly. I wrote a short cheat sheet for our shift leaders, which everyone now uses.

We are a small helmet maker with two employees on the machine. It is easy to operate, and alarms tell you plainly what to check. The English manual has a few odd translations, and I had to guess the meaning of two menu items until support cleared them up.

Machine has met our needs. Freight to our port was fine, but inland transport took longer than quoted. Setup and calibration went well after that.

We tested shots with several materials during acceptance, and the supplier stayed until we were satisfied. That is the kind of patience I value in a supplier.

Phone support was busy on our first call, but an engineer rang back within the hour and solved the problem. Compact footprint for the clamp force. We fitted it into an existing bay without moving other equipment, which saved us costs. Crane access for delivery was tight, and we needed an extra day for rigging, which the supplier had warned us might happen.

Compared with the injection machine it replaced, this one is quieter and cleaner. Oil leaks were a constant chore before, and now we barely notice any.
Ahmed K. –
We run two shifts, five days a week, and the machine is trouble free. Only planned maintenance so far, and each service took less than a morning. One thing I noticed is that operators enjoy the machine, because it starts quickly and rarely raises alarms.

Faster than our older machine by a modest margin, but where it wins is consistency. No more random short shots after a long weekend stop.
