Description
The Jack J6 is a fully automatic pocket welting machine that cuts the pocket opening with an integrated 120 W laser, then irons, folds, sews, bartacks and fastens the pocket in one cycle. It handles straight and oblique pockets, single or double welts, with or without flap, and zipper pockets. Pattern memory allows quick changeover between styles on light to heavy fabrics. It is supplied with industrial table, stand and touchscreen CNC control.

Runs quietly and cuts fast. Cleaned the filters monthly and nothing else needed attention so far. Only wish the manual had a troubleshooting table.

Compared with our old semi automatic cutter, the new table shaves our preparation time considerably. Operators no longer mark fabric by hand. For us the biggest surprise was how much the vacuum hold down improved edge quality on slippery fabrics. We also keep a small kit of spare blades, sensors and belts so that a minor fault does not stop a shift, and the supplier helped us pick the contents of that kit.

Needles last longer than I expected because the stitching speed is adjustable per seam segment. We slow down over thick reflective tape joins and go faster on plain sections.

Reflective tape is notoriously hard on blades, yet after a few months the wear is manageable with the suggested blade schedule. The cut edge of the tape is neat.
