Description
The MD is a sturdy electronic-free cam-driven needle loom for medium-weight tapes and belts such as lifting belts, luggage belts and lashing straps, making it suited to weaving fall-arrest harness and lanyard webbing. It is offered in 2- and 4-space versions with reed widths of 85, 130 or 175 mm and a maximum fabric thickness of 3.1 mm. A powerful take-off, robust shedding motion for high warp tensions and the Mütrans2 weft transport give consistent edge quality. A 3 kW frequency-controlled AC motor drives the loom.

Stitching results are good and the machine is sturdy. However, the pallet arrived late and the crate had been opened in transit, which made me nervous, though nothing was missing. The manual is thin for a machine this complex.

Heavy duty stitching machine handles harness webbing layers with no problem. Stitch strength in our pull tests was comfortably above requirement. Thread breaks occurred early on until we switched to the supplier's recommended thread, and that fixed it. Delivery to our port was two days late, and the team offered clear updates and helped us rebook the local haulier.

Very pleased with the harness sewing unit. Setup for each harness type is quick once the stitch pattern is saved, and our output is roughly a third higher than with the previous machine. A spare sensor was out of stock at first, and the supplier told us the date honestly and delivered on it.

Stitch strength is very good and the machine is robust. I gave four stars because the training was one day only, and we would have welcomed a second day for our night shift staff. The supplier offered a video session, which helped.

Owner here. My factory is small, and the training the supplier gave my two operators was thorough. Now I can leave the workshop for a day and know the stitching runs correctly.

Machine works, but the learning curve for warp preparation was steeper than anticipated. Our two weavers needed about three weeks to reach the speed we hoped. Support was responsive, and the loom has been reliable once mastered.
