Description
The NFM 53 is a narrow fabric needle loom for elastic and non-elastic ribbons, tapes and light technical webbings, as well as garment straps and edging. It weaves widths from 10/18 to 2/210 mm and takes up to 20 heald frames. Weft density ranges from 4 to 120 picks per centimetre. Fully electronic weft, binder, catch thread and take-off drives on the MÜDATA M platform raise output by 20-30% compared with conventional looms.

The stitching machine has strong feed and stitch length holds even on thick layers. Its price was higher than that of some other options, but build quality is obvious. Would like a more detailed troubleshooting section in the manual. We received a clear written quote from ClearEdge within two working days, with the machine specification, delivery terms and options laid out for our board.

Very happy with weaving consistency, and support has always answered within a day. Setup on a new pattern is usually done in an afternoon. The ClearEdge Safety team explained the power and air supply requirements early, which saved us from a costly surprise on site.

Owner of a small harness workshop. I was unsure whether a narrow fabric loom was within my budget, but the supplier offered a right sized model and explained the trade offs. We now weave our own webbing and control quality ourselves, which has been very valuable for our reputation. The freight arrived in a clean crate and the installation took two days, after which I had a short call every week for the first month to check how things were running. Their export team prepared the EUR1 style documentation we needed for the preference claim, and everything was in the right order.

Reliable machine. Bartacks are neat and identical every time. Our operators rarely intervene. A knowledgeable engineer visited to check the alignment during commissioning and shared his findings with us in a short written note.

Good loom with a strong frame. Edge selvedge is neat, but we saw slight width variation on the first rolls until the weft tension was adjusted. Support solved it over the phone and it has been steady since.

Stitch quality on the load bearing seams of our harnesses is what our customers check first, and the machine gives an even lock stitch that passes their inspection.

Fast responses from the ClearEdge technical staff on the phone, with someone who clearly knew the machine well. The bartack machine is fast and reliable, and stitch counts are consistent. The touch screen could be more intuitive, and we needed the manual more than expected. Once learned, operators are quick.

Two months after start up we asked for a spare sensor, and ClearEdge sent it with a short note on how to fit it. As a maintenance lead, I appreciated the layout. Lubrication points are marked and reachable, the drive belts can be checked without dismantling anything, and the supplier provided a maintenance calendar we now follow.
