Description
A low-pressure polyurethane pouring machine for making PU shoe soles, including safety shoe outsoles. A high-pressure foaming gun mixes the components, and specialised pneumatic lifting pumps feed the material automatically. It is electrically heated and controlled by a PLC. The unit outputs up to 5,000 g per minute on a 380 V three-phase supply, carries CE certification and comes with an 18-month warranty.

We measured energy use per shoe before and after. The new machine uses noticeably less, mostly because heating is better insulated and idle periods are handled sensibly. When our operator reported an odd noise, technical support diagnosed a loose guard over the phone and saved us a call out.

Set up of the metering unit for a new polyol took an afternoon. The system holds ratio steadily and I see very few air bubbles in soles. The cleaning solvent hoses are a bit short and we replaced them with longer ones from a local supplier.

Rubber sole vulcanising press portion works well for our outdoor safety footwear. Uniform cure, no soft spots, and easy access for mould cleaning. Commissioning was coordinated with our own maintenance staff in advance, so the technician arrived to find power and floor space ready.

Machine is quiet compared with the older hydraulic press we used. The hall is a nicer place to work, and operators noticed it right away. Freight took a little longer than quoted, and the forwarder needed reminders about delivery slots at our dock.
