Description
The Macpi 336.59T is a hot-air seam sealing machine that bonds waterproofing tape over sewn seams on protective garments, waterproof clothing and footwear. A 25 mm motorized upper roller handles 22 mm tape with programmable pressure, and the upper heating system blows air at programmable temperature and pressure. Motorized rollers with independent speed and differential effect, a 3-axis electronically adjustable nozzle and an electronic tape-tension metering device give reproducible seams. Control is via a 7 inch touch screen with USB port, and the working station height is adjustable.

Good width, good speed, and a very even bond. We run it around the clock during peak season.

We compared many options and this laminator had the most transparent specification. Bond results matched what the supplier promised in the trial. Our operators like the clear temperature display and the sensible layout of controls. In addition, the supplier sent a short trial video of a trial roll before we ordered, and the calibration certificate for the temperature sensors was included in the crate, which our quality department filed straight away.

A dependable machine that does not need much attention. After ten months, the only maintenance beyond routine cleaning was replacing a drive belt, which took about an hour. The temperature readout matches our external probe within a small margin. Spare parts have been easy to find in the catalog.

After the first month we cut our reject rate on laminated jackets noticeably, mostly because the temperature control avoids overheating the adhesive. The supplier even sent updated settings for our new membrane after we sent them a data sheet.

We use the finishing calender to give fabric a smooth face before printing. Width is generous, thickness adjustment is precise, and our operators learned it quickly. Energy consumption was lower than what the data sheet suggested, which was a pleasant surprise. Questions on operator safety features were answered thoroughly, with references to the relevant machine safety standards.
