Description
The Magna-Spin-Auto is a fully automatic industrial spin hard coater for high-volume lens production, suitable for polycarbonate and other lens materials. It features non-touch automatic cleaning and dual workstations with automatic loading. UV-curable tintable and non-tintable lacquers are supported in solvent-based and all-solids formulations. Throughput is up to 120 lenses per hour, and it works with ART-blocked lenses.

Coating quality and edge polish are both very good. I would mark down the software slightly for its slow start up, around two minutes on each morning, and for a confusing settings screen. Support sent a short video that fixed our confusion. Throughput has met our expectations and calibration checks are stable. Technical drawings for foundation and cabling arrived from ClearEdge well before delivery, so our contractor could prepare properly.

Everything about calibration feels sensible. Reference gauges are included, and the steps are checkable, which helps our quality audits. The operator manual had photos of each control panel screen, which made our training day much shorter.
