Description
The EC310SXIII is an all-electric injection moulding machine with 300 US tons (280 metric tons) of clamping force, suited to helmet shells, visors and face shield parts that need precise, repeatable shots. Servo-driven toggle clamp and injection units give clean, grease-free operation and low energy use. It offers screw diameters from 45-70 mm and the Injectvisor V70 controller with Euromap 63/77 communication and on-screen setup help. Mould space and shot capacity cover mid-size protective equipment components.

The first article inspection after installation passed with no adjustments to the mould. Parts were within drawing tolerance, and our customer approved samples quickly.

Solid build and a decent screen. One irritation is that changing the mould data requires several confirmations. Support explained that it is a safety feature, which is fair.

Service response was quick when our heater band failed. They sent the part by express and we were back to production the next afternoon. The only downside is that the spare part came from overseas at express rates, and a small local stock option would be welcome. ClearEdge coordinated with our own forwarder in Rotterdam without any friction, and paperwork on both sides matched.

Clamp force stays stable through long runs, and our helmet shells come out with no flash at the parting line. We have run it for about ten months on HDPE and ABS.

Temperature stability of the barrel is very good. Even in a warm summer our helmets show consistent gloss and no visible weld lines.

Startup procedure is short, with the heating ramp handled automatically. Operators press start, and shells are usable after around twenty five minutes. On Mondays this saves us nearly half an hour compared with the old press, which adds up over the year.

Not bad, though the display can be hard to read in bright light near our loading dock windows. We added a hood. The machine itself makes very good parts.
