Description
The Stahls' Dual Air Fusion ProPlace is a dual-station pneumatic heat press with an integrated projection system that shows the transfer position on the lower platen. It is used to apply heat-transfer film, reflective graphics and printed transfers accurately and repeatably. The heated upper platen shuttles automatically between two 16 x 20 in lower platens, so one operator loads while the other station presses. An external air compressor supplies smooth, consistent pressure.

We bought the lamination line to bond a breathable membrane onto flame retardant fabric. Peel strength has been steady from roll to roll, and our lab pulls samples at the start and end of each roll without seeing any drift. Temperature control across the width is the best we have had in the plant, and the operators trust the display. Spare parts for our glove line were listed by ClearEdge with reference numbers, and the first order left the warehouse within days.

Uptime has been very good in the year since installation. We had a small air leak on the pressure system, sorted by tightening a fitting that support identified from a photo.

Bond strength results in our own lab improved after we switched to this laminating unit, mostly because the temperature profile is easier to control. We keep a log for each roll and the numbers are very tight. The supplier's technician answered a late question by phone on a Saturday.

Clean, sealed seams and no burn marks. Operators need little rework.

Straightforward purchase and installation. The engineer showed us how to calibrate the temperature sensors ourselves, which saves us a service call each year, and he left a plain checklist by the control panel. As a small plant we do not have a dedicated technician, so learning basic calibration was valuable, and the operators now feel more ownership of the machine. We had never bought a machine of this kind, and the team explained the process patiently and in language we understood.

It runs well but the electricity connection needed a larger cable than our plant had prepared, something I could have caught if the pre installation sheet had been clearer. Extra cost and a two day delay. The machine is fine.

Everything arrived properly packed with a clear parts list, and setting up took less time than we planned. Very tidy. Manual could be clearer on first start. Shipping updates from ClearEdge arrived by email at every stage of the sea freight, including the vessel name and expected arrival.

Changeover between fabric types used to eat half a morning. With the quick release rollers and saved recipes it takes about forty minutes.

Our reflective coated fabric now passes the wash durability test we struggled with before. Temperature accuracy and consistent pressure made the difference, and the supplier's advice on adhesive curing time was spot on.
